specINTI and specINTI Editor

specINTI is free software for the reduction and processing of astronomical spectra, intended for amateur astronomers and citizen-science research projects. Developed to meet the requirements of modern spectroscopy, it automates a large part of the processing chain, from raw images through to a spectrum calibrated in both wavelength and intensity. It incorporates advanced pre-processing and calibration tools that make it possible to produce results of scientific quality. The specINTI application takes the form of an executable, which in this form is intended primarily for interface developers.

specINTI Editor is the standard graphical interface accompanying specINTI, and is the entry point for most users. It facilitates the configuration of reductions, the management of observation parameters, and the control of the software's various functions, while providing a clear and user-friendly working environment.

Whether you are producing your first spectra or taking part in observing campaigns of a scientific nature, specINTI Editor and specINTI together form a complete, high-performance, and entirely free solution for processing your spectroscopic observations.

This software suite, written in Python, runs on Windows, Linux, and macOS. It is developed by Christian Buil and Valérie Desnoux.
